Hawaii’s Four Seasons Resort Lana’i, home to a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course featuring ocean views with every swing, has launched its new Lana’i Golf Experience.

Home to acclaimed Manele Golf Course, a Jack Nicklaus-designed beauty that rambles along red lava cliffs high above the surf, Four Seasons Resort Lana’i has launched its new Lana’i Golf Experience

The package includes one round of golf, as well as a complimentary same-day replay; a US$100 credit at Hawanawana Spa; complimentary refreshments; and 15 percent off purchases in the golf shop.

Though just a 14.5-kilometre ferryboat ride off the coast of Maui, the small and sparsely populated Hawaiian island of Lana’i feels oceans away. The 220-room resort is an exotic fusion of traditional Hawaiian, Mediterranean and Asian architectural styles terraced down a hillside overlooking the blue crescent of Hulopoe Bay. Adding to the relaxed aloha vibe are lavish theme gardens filled with waterfalls, koi-stocked lotus ponds and aromatic flowers.

A definite highlight is Nobu Lana’i, which serves the innovative Japanese cuisine of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa in a cliff-side dining room.

Built on lava outcroppings, Manele Golf Course features ocean views from every hole, with three holes that snake along the cliffs. Absolutely unforgettable is the 12th, a 200-yard par three where the back tee box is perched 150 feet above the swirling surf.
