Casa de Campo Luxury at a Discount

Casa de Campo, one of the world’s elite golf properties, is offering stay-and-play packages for as little as $285 per day until December 20. Based on double occupancy, the Casa Golf Legends promotion includes breakfast and a daily round on one of the Dominican Republic resort’s three Pete Dye-designed courses, Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links.

Dye has been synonymous with golf at the lavish 7,000-acre resort since the 1971 unveiling of Teeth of the Dog, renowned for its seven spectacular oceanside holes. A hands-on perfectionist, Dye, who used to own a home on the property, has spent half a lifetime tweaking and sometimes massively reworking Teeth of the Dog and the resort’s two other courses.

Recently reopened after a major reconstruction, The Links is a 6,900-yard inland layout played around man-made lakes and through tall roughs of bahia and guinea grass. And, perched on windswept bluffs overlooking the Chavon River, Dye Fore, a rolling and starkly bare behemoth that launched to rave reviews in 2003, has been expanded from 18 to 27 holes. Dye Fore’s new nine, Lakes, snakes dramatically around 24 acres of ponds.

Golf packages that include lunch, dinner and most alcoholic drinks start from $379 per person. Rates are based on a minimum stay of three nights.
