Set to launch in 2021, Tom Weiskopf’s The Feddinch Club will be the first new course to open in St. Andrews since the Castle Course a decade ago. The exclusive private club features luxury accommodations and a player-friendly design offering sweeping views of the Auld Grey Toon.

Have you always dreamed of being a member of an exclusive Scottish golf club—especially one in St. Andrews, the Home of Golf?

Scheduled for a 2021 launch, The Feddinch Club is a Tom Weiskopf design located southwest of St. Andrews, adjacent to The Duke’s course. Golfers will enjoy fairway views extending over the town and across St. Andrews Bay to Carnoustie.

“This is not a links golf course, although the site has some characteristics of links golf,” says Weiskopf, the winner of the Open Championship at Royal Troon in 1973. “There are blind and semi-blind shots, and open native grasses in the rough areas. It’s a parkland course with very good variation of elevation and a continual change of direction from hole to hole.”

Part of an estate owned in the twelfth century by Canon Roger of Feddinch, The Feddinch Club is a private member-owned facility. It is the first course built in St. Andrews since the opening of David McLay Kidd’s Castle Course in 2008.

Weiskopf’s par-72 layout stretches to 7,373 yards from the back tees, 6,600 yards from the middle, and 5,484 yards from the forward markers.

Design features include a large double green in front of the clubhouse that is shared by the 9th and 18th holes, and a short 19th hole for informal competitions and the settling of bets.

Weiskopf has designed or co-designed 65 golf courses, including several ranked among the top 100 in the world. At The Feddinch Club, he focused on playability and in reducing the time taken to play an 18-hole round. Fairways are wide and distances between greens and tees generally short.

Complementing the golf course will be a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range and a dedicated short game area.

A clubhouse designed by G1 Architects of Glasgow (the same firm that built the clubhouses at Kingsbarns and Castle Stuart) will include 45 luxury guest rooms, restaurant, bar, spa, and meeting rooms. A concierge team will be on hand to organize play at other local courses, as well as sightseeing trips and other activities.

All facilities and tee times at The Feddinch Club will be restricted to members and their guests. For more information or to schedule a site visit, call +44 1334 461018, visit www.feddinchstandrews.com, or email Ewan McKay, the club’s chairman, at [email protected].
