Just the ticket for beating the pandemic blues, Mauna Lani resort on Hawaii Island’s dramatic Kohala Coast is offering an unlimited stay and play golf package through 2022.
What better way to beat the pandemic blues than a sweet deal on a Hawaiian golf vacation?
Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection, in partnership with Mauna Lani Golf, is offering a new unlimited golf stay and play package that combines luxurious resort accommodations with unlimited golf for two on Mauna Lani’s North and South courses. The package, which includes an Ocean View King Room and daily breakfast, is offered for stays of three nights or longer and is featured for all of 2022.
Located on Hawaii Island’s Kohala Coast, the North and South courses are stunning examples of environmentally forward golf course architecture. Protected archeological sites, trails, fishponds and ancient petroglyphs are routed into the layouts. Both courses were designed by Homer Flint, Raymond Cain and Robin Nelson, and are recognized in Golfweek magazine’s 2021 “Best Courses You Can Play in Hawaii” ranking.
Built atop an ancient lava bed, the North Course’s rolling fairways twist through kiawe forests. Feral goats freely roam the course, providing a unique hazard as they graze on the fairway rough.
The South Course, meanwhile, is carved through the Kaniku lava flow, which dates from the 16th century. Two of the South’s par threes—the 7th and 15th—number among the most photographed golf holes in the Hawaiian Islands. From 1990 to 2000, the South Course hosted the Senior Skins Game.
Amenites at Mauna Lani resort, which has been extensively renovated in the past two years, include oceanfront dining at CanoeHouse, three pools, a signature spa and wellness centre, Hawaiian cultural programs, and an activities program for children.
