Not a moment too soon for winter-weary golfers, the country’s two biggest annual golf and travel shows are back to jump-start the golf season in Toronto and Vancouver.
Both the Toronto Golf and Travel Show (Feb. 28 to March 2, 2014) and the Vancouver Golf and Travel Show (Feb. 15 and 16, 2014) offer visitors the opportunity to test the latest equipment, get a quick lesson from a teaching pro, plan their next trip with exhibitors from various travel destinations, and watch demonstrations by golf celebrities.
Special guests at the Toronto show include Michael Breed of The Golf Channel’s The Golf Fix and long-drive champion Jeff Gavin. Vancouver highlights include a long-drive shootout held on course simulators, as well as a putting competition.
Helping draw the crowds — and exhibitors — are the prime locations of both shows: the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre; and Vancouver’s Pacific National Exhibition Centre.
Toronto admission: $16; seniors 65 and over $12; kids under 12 free with an adult. Vancouver: $12; youth 13 to 17 $5; kids under 12 free.
