At Georgia’s Reynolds Plantation, fans of the Big Break can experience all the thrills of the popular Golf Channel show—but without the back-biting, tears and the fairway walk of shame.
Calling all fans of the Big Break: Georgia’s Reynolds Plantation, which this autumn will play host to the popular Golf Channel reality show, is offering the Big Break Invitational Experience July through September.
The package begins with a round of golf on the Jack Nicklaus-designed Great Waters course—host course of Big Break Invitational, Reynolds Plantation, airing Sept. 30 to Oct. 3—or at one of the property’s five other award-winning layouts.
Most Friday nights, guests are invited to participate in the same type of skill challenges seen on the Big Break. Participants vie for daily prizes and a spot in the Big Break Invitational pro-am on Sept. 29. And the package includes two admission badges to the four-day live event, in which previous Big Break stars will contend for a share of the $300,000 purse.
Located on Lake Oconee, between Atlanta and Augusta, Reynolds Plantation features six golf courses, walking trails, a marina, a tennis centre, and the 251-room Ritz-Carlton Lodge. The planned community is about a 90-minute drive from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The package includes deluxe accommodation in a Reynolds Plantation cottage or condominium; full Southern-style daily breakfast; and unlimited use of golf practice facilities. An additional round of golf on the day of arrival or the day of departure can be added for the discounted rate of $99 per person.
Cost: $240 to $290 per person nightly (double occupancy).
