Ultimate Golf Vacations is offering a four-night stay at California’s elegant Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay resort that includes three rounds of golf and a mid-size car rental with unlimited mileage. Cost: $1,549 per person (double occupancy).
Located on an isolated and ruggedly dramatic stretch of Pacific Ocean shoreline 23 miles southwest of San Francisco International Airport, Half Moon Bay’s six-storey main building recalls a baronial seaside lodge of the 19th century. Guest rooms are outfitted with marble bathrooms and feather beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and goose down comforters. Hotel amenities include a 16,000-square-foot spa and fitness centre. And nearby is the Santa Cruz Mountain region, with more than 70 wineries open for tastings.
Golfers play two of their three rounds on the Ocean Course, a 6,700-yard traditional Scottish-style layout designed by Arthur Hills. The third round is played on the Old Course, a parkland layout originally designed by Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane in 1973, and redesigned by Hills in 1999.
The package is offered for travel until March 31. Airfare quote available on request.
